Waterloo, Ontario: The Waterloo Minor Soccer Club (WMSC), which includes Waterloo United and BVB IA Waterloo, is excited to announce the hiring of Ryan McCord as the new General Manager. Additionally, WMSC is in the process of acquiring the assets of Xtra Time.

Ryan is local to Waterloo Region and has an extensive background in business and soccer. Ryan most recently co-founded and built Xtra Time, an individual soccer training and development center that is dedicated to building skill and confidence in young athletes, both on and off the field. At WMSC, Ryan’s focus will be on enhancing the existing soccer club programming and integrating the programs that were previously available through Xtra Time.

Xtra Time, located at 564 Weber St. Unit #11 in Waterloo, Ontario, was founded in 2019. The programs offered are designed to foster player development and offer training in the area of fundamental soccer skill, speed & strength training, goalkeeper training, and high-performance technical training. The expected transaction closing date is August 1st, 2024.

This acquisition supports our journey to be the premier club for youth and athletes to play soccer in Waterloo Region.”
